LITERATURE:
At first glance, S. Dhinakara Sundar is interpreted as being a quiet person. Someone who agrees with the world, its wrongs and rights. As one gets to know the artist better, it is clear that a fire burns within him to express many thoughts and feelings. He is an extremely driven person with clear, thought out plans.

S. Dhinakara Sundar is an outstanding printmaker. He has perfected his skill over the years, first as a student at the Government College of Arts & Crafts, Chennai and later at the Kyoto Seika University, Japan. Currently he is a faculty member at the Government College of Fine Arts, Chennai. S. Dhinakara Sundar has participated in several printmaking camps around the country and has won several renowned awards.

S. Dhinakara Sundar is a master at using many techniques of printmaking. His works use a variety of mediums like Plate Etching, Wood Cut, Collography and Silk Screen.

The artist's current body of work represents a meditative mix of both abstract and figurative forms. His work is inspired by traditional scripture that combines it's self with contemporary ineas. S. Dhinakara Sundar has used in a very interesting manner, severall different textured papers with an equally varied variety of printmaking techniques to express unique characteristics for each piece of artwork.
