LITERATURE:
A P Santhanaraj was born in 1932, Tamilnadu. He is a graduate of the Government College of Arts and Crafts, Madras. He joined it as a teacher in 1958 and was its Principal from 1985- 1990.

A P Santhanaraj has shaped the futures of many artists who now work in Chennai. Artists like K M Adimoolam, R B Bhaskaran, C Douglas, Rm Palaniappan and many others were his students.

A P Santhanaraj is recognized for his sense of space and line.
